ICBC funds driver training bursary program

30 Mar 2017

ICBC wants to create safe and confident drivers, and we're working with government to help remove some barriers preventing youth in foster care, and those aged out of care, from learning to drive.

We have announced funding for a driver training bursary program that will assist youth in care and those who have aged out of care, to learn how to drive.

The bursary program will be completely administered by a non-profit organization, and will provide funds toward the cost of an ICBC-approved graduated licensing program course.

Learning to drive is a major milestone in a young person's life and the opportunity to take driver training may be limited for youth in government care. By providing young people with financial support, this program will help remove these barriers.
