Recording instructor and assessment officer names on customer documents

24 June 2013

On May 31, 2013, driver training schools and facilities were advised of a privacy issue that resulted in an ICBC policy change.

To help protect the privacy of instructors and assessment officers (AOs), schools and facilities were asked not to record the driver licence numbers of their instructors and AOs on documents issued to their customers.

This change places even more importance on accurate, legible recording of instructor and assessment officer names on documents that their customers are required to submit to ICBC offices.
